Earth Day April 22

Today is earth day. I wish I could participate with the people who are rallying and demonstrating in every community about awareness to our planet earth. All I can do is post a message in this blog site. I can only show photos on how my community is keeping its share to keep the environment clean.

A very pretty front yard. Most of the houses in my neighborhood have this scenery during spring time. These flowers stay for one week at most. We have to enjoy this view and take advantage of it for we have to wait another 52 weeks to see this scenery again.

Another sign that spring is here. Young leaves start coming out from the tree. We are so lucky this cycle happens every year. In other part of the world such as Moldova, they have drought for four years. Some countries cannot grow crops because of abnormal weather pattern.

We are not exempted from pollution as seen from the trash hanging on the tree. I guess not everybody are so concern about keeping the environment clean. But I would say that pollution is not rampant here.

This is another view of the trash on the tree. Basically, the surrounding area is still clean. We just keep pollution as minimal as possible.

Proof of this are bunch of trash cans at the backyard in one of the houses here. One is for garbage, another is for plastic and bottle recycling, the other one is for paper, and the rest are for trash and yard grass and bush cuttings.

A peach tree by the shed.

But this warm paradise in Northern Samar is unspoiled, unexplored and untouched. This is what Earth Day is all about. We longed for a place to retire, where the air is fresh, the sea is pristine and clean, the beach is uncrowded and unpolutted. We can find this in Northern Samar. It maybe spring now in the USA but it is always summer in warm paradise, in Northern Samar. The day is balmy and the night is cool. Come and live with us. We keep this place clean. Help to influence the local folks and the government to keep this place as virgin as possible.
